A Message From Our New Owner

02nd Dec 2020

Marc Corns has now completed a take-over of Parker Precision Limited following Maurice Parker's passing in 2019 and Phil Parker's decision to retire.

Marc looks forward to the continued support that our suppliers provide Parker Precision, continuing to build on our our already successful relationships.

Parker Precision have continued to move forward during the months in which we have been affected by COVID-19, building a 12,000 square foot extension with a view to expand into during 2021.

Parker Precision are also happy to announce the appointment of a new Operations Manager Andy Oakley, replacing Phil Parker in the management team.

Parker’s New Addition

26th Mar 2019

The Mazak Integrex -100 Bartac S

As part of our continuous dedication to increasing our efficiency, subsequentially reducing costs and lead times for our customers, we're very pleased to share our latest in a line of investments scheduled for 2019.

The compact multitasking machining centre can hold up to 72 tools, with a bar capacity of 102mmØ (200mmØ from a chuck). The automatic changer allows for greater flexibility as many tools can be set and stored within the machine to reduce set up times.

We see this machine as a fantastic complement to our current line-up of machine tools, providing us with the opportunity to add a wider net of customers to our production schedule, completing in a single machine setting where possible.

Industry 4.0

Benefits of using our shop floor data collection system include:

  • Access to flexible job management – Using accurate data to improve productivity and the efficiency of processes as well as employees.
  • Providing accurate data for reporting – providing real-time access to current work progress by employee, job, department, work centre or supervisor.
  • Better cost control – by closely monitoring each manufacturing process, it is easier to monitor cost per job, shift or even department. The feedback provided can support our cost decisions.

Parker Precision’s shop floor inspection cell supports zero escapes

16th Apr 2018

Zero defect manufacturing puts increased pressure on the aerospace supply chain, where, understandably, aerospace companies do not want to accept even minimal defects in parts

Parker Precision Limited have been working towards  the aerospace requirement of Zero Defects with their customers for some time now, with great success. One strategy for this is a target of zero escapes to meet and exceed the expectations of both our customers and the aerospace industry as a whole. This means, thanks to our shop floor inspection cell, we can identify and resolve any issues highlighted at point of cause, helping to strengthen our stringent quality checks during the manufacturing process.

Benefits of our automated shop floor inspection cell:

  • Improves quality by identifying defects during the first off and manufacturing processes
  • Instils confidence in the manufacturing processes
  • Helps reduces the bottleneck at final inspection, therefore increasing throughput
  • Long-term ROI of the automated inspection cell includes reducing factory set-up time, manufacturing defects and product lead time.

If you have any questions about our shop floor inspection cell, please contact us.
